Owner Tim Eber started his trade early, around the age of 5, while working in the garage with his father. Several years later Tim, being a Massillon native, decided to refine his love of cars and the perfection of body work at R.G. Drage Career Technical Center.
Soon after graduation, Tim decided he had a valuable skill and wanted to provide them to his community. One night after a long talk with a family member, Tim decided to open his first body shop. A-1 Custom Body was founded over 20 years ago.
After enjoying several years of successful business, Tim decided it was time to take his skills to the next level. He made the decision to close A-1 Custom Body and take a position performing training sessions and seminars for the North American Technical Center for Pro-Spray Automotive Finishes. During this time Tim advanced his skills and trained across the US and Canada.
One night after discussing his position at Pro-Spray, Tim decided that his job had led him away from his true passion, beautiful cars and satisfied clients. This decision led to the creation of Southside Customs. We are a small family owned business that strives for perfection. We can handle anything from small dents and dings to full body restorations.
